Connekt EV Charging selected for prestigious Scale-Up Scotland program

Connekt EV Charging founder Johnny Manning has been selected to participate in the prestigious Scale-Up Scotland program run by The Hunter Foundation.

This 18-month cohort-based program is aimed at ambitious entrepreneurs and firms with the potential and desire to grow sales beyond £20-£30 million.

The program provides a blend of experiential, business, and peer-to-peer learning, taking entrepreneurs through the critical components of business scale-up. The central theme across the 18 months is building leadership capability for scale, with a deep dive into the key drivers of scaling a business successfully.

Participating in the Scale-Up Scotland program will provide Connekt EV Charging with valuable insights, support, and networking opportunities to help them navigate the challenges of scaling a business successfully. The program offers access to a range of experienced entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors who can offer guidance and support. It also provides a platform for participants to connect with a network of peers who share their growth aspirations and to learn from their experiences.

The program includes masterclasses and dinners with successful entrepreneurs, such as Bob Keiller CBE, who sold PSN for £600M, and Calum Smeaton, who recently exited having built TV Squared to an exit of $160m. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from Sir Christopher Evans, a biotech entrepreneur who created and publicly listed 20 of his own companies and built 25 private businesses, and Sir Jackie Stewart, a serial investor, legendary racing driver, games guru, and philanthropist.

Other entrepreneurs participating in the program include Kristian Tapaninaho and Darina Garland, founders of Ooni Pizza Ovens, Mark Beaumont BEM, a world record-holding endurance athlete, author, broadcaster, and Partner in EOS-Advisory, Theo Paphitis, a retail entrepreneur, philanthropist, and star of the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, Sir Tom Hunter, Chair of West Coast Capital and The Hunter Foundation, Lord Willaim Haughey, founder of global entity City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, and Willie Watt, Chair of The Scottish National Investment Bank.

The Scale-Up Scotland program is an excellent opportunity for Connekt EV Charging to learn from some of the most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders in Scotland and beyond. By participating in the program, Connekt EV Charging will be able to develop their leadership capabilities, refine their strategy, and gain access to the resources and support they need to achieve their growth ambitions.

We are confident that with the support of the program and our commitment to providing innovative and reliable charging solutions, we can help accelerate the transition to a sustainable future and achieve our shared vision of a net-zero Scotland. We look forward to working with our fellow participants, mentors, and partners to make a positive impact on the environment and the Scottish economy and helping Scotland to reach its net zero goals.
