Elderslie Golf Club Case Study

The Background

Elderslie Golf Club hits the Green with newly installed electric vehicle charging solution for members and visitors.

Elderslie Golf course is an 18 Hole Parkland Course with panoramic views in Renfrewshire on the West Coast of Scotland in the village of Elderslie.

The golf club recognised the need to offer EV charging options for current members and guests to support the adoption of electric vehicles and aimed to provide an easy and convenient charging solution for visitors while they played golf, rather than wasting time using slow, unreliable on public chargers.

Additionally, they sought a sustainable solution to manage electricity costs and installation expenses, given the recent rise in electricity prices.

The Solution

Following a comprehensive site survey by our skilled team, we proposed the installation of a 22kw dual fast charger unit. This unit allows for two visitors to charge their vehicles simultaneously while enjoying a round of golf at the club. Our recommendation was based on the fast charging speeds, sleek and modern design, and compatibility with Connekt's advanced cloud-based management system.

Connekt's team of highly experienced in-house experts handled all aspects of the EV charging installation process, including electrical work, groundworks, and installation. To minimize disruption to business, all work was done during regular business hours.

"Connekt's team was incredibly professional and efficient in the installation of our EV charging points. Their software solution is user-friendly and has made managing and monitoring the charging stations a breeze. We are extremely pleased with the service they provided and highly recommend them to any other golf clubs looking to implement EV charging."
