Verdant Leisure is one of the UK’s leading holiday park operators, renowned for delivering high-quality guest experiences across some of the country’s most scenic coastal and countryside locations. With sustainability and future-focused infrastructure high on the agenda, Verdant Leisure partnered with Connekt EV Charging to introduce electric vehicle charging across 12 of its holiday parks nationwide. This major multi-site rollout supports the growing number of EV-driving guests while reinforcing Verdant’s long-term commitment to environmentally responsible tourism.
As EV ownership continues to rise, Verdant Leisure recognised the importance of providing convenient, reliable charging facilities for guests staying across its diverse estate of holiday parks. However, delivering a large-scale, multi-location installation presented several operational challenges.
Each park site required a tailored approach, with varying power availability, layouts, and guest usage patterns. The project needed to be delivered with minimal disruption to guests and daily park operations, particularly during peak holiday periods. In addition, Verdant required a long-term solution that would be scalable, reliable, and fully supported to ensure consistent performance across all 12 locations.
What really stood out was how well Connekt understood our industry. We’re a holiday park, not a motorway service station, so our customers and their charging behaviour are very different. The system designed for us was clearly matched to how our guests actually use the facilities. From the planning stages through to final installation, the whole experience was completely seamless and handled with real professionalism. From my perspective as General Manager, installing the Connekt system is one of the best things we’ve done. It’s strengthened our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, responded directly to what our owners were asking for, and future-proofed our parks as electric vehicles become more and more popular. I have no hesitation in recommending Connekt, the product is excellent, the service has been outstanding, and we’re already looking at installing even more terminals.

Connekt EV Charging delivered a fully managed, end-to-end rollout across 12 Verdant Leisure parks, installing a total of 20 chargers and 39 connectors. A carefully selected mix of 7.4kW and 22kW Garo chargers was deployed to meet the varying needs of guests, ensuring flexible and accessible destination charging across the estate.
Connekt managed every stage of the project - from site surveys and technical design through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. By coordinating works efficiently at each individual location, disruption to park operations and guest experience was kept to an absolute minimum.
To ensure long-term reliability and peace of mind, all chargers are fully supported by Connekt’s 24/7 monitoring and customer support services, providing rapid response and operational certainty for both Verdant and its guests.
The successful installation of EV charging across 12 holiday parks has delivered immediate and long-term benefits for both Verdant Leisure and its guests. Visitors can now conveniently charge their vehicles on-site, improving the overall guest experience and removing a key barrier for EV drivers choosing holiday destinations.
From a sustainability perspective, the project represents a significant step forward in reducing transport-related emissions associated with leisure travel. The carefully selected charger mix ensures accessibility for a wide range of EV users, while helping future-proof Verdant’s parks as EV adoption continues to accelerate.
Operationally, the smooth delivery of the project demonstrated the effectiveness of a centrally managed, multi-site approach, allowing Verdant Leisure to achieve national coverage quickly, efficiently, and with consistent service standards across all locations.
